Dr Zainab Al-Mukhtar

Dr Zainab Al-Mukhtar qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King’s College London in 2010 and has since developed a particular focus on dento-facial aesthetics, combining her background in dentistry with more than a decade of experience in aesthetic medicine.

She is a dental surgeon, facial aesthetics practitioner, clinical trainer, mentor and speaker, with over 10 years of regular teaching and training of healthcare professionals.

Known for her refined, natural approach to facial harmonisation, Dr Zainab believes in treating the face holistically, with careful consideration of anatomy, facial proportions, function and the individual behind the treatment. Her attention to detail and commitment to natural-looking outcomes have led her to treat patients from across the UK and internationally.

She was awarded Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013. After five years working within the NHS, she transitioned into private practice in 2015, becoming Clinical Director of Harrow on the Hill Dental & Facial Aesthetics in 2017 and co-owner in 2018.

A passionate educator, Dr Zainab has trained healthcare professionals in facial aesthetics since 2014 and has served as a lead trainer for a number of established aesthetic academies. She co-created the Facial Contouring Masterclass with Acquisition Aesthetics and has taught advanced subjects including full-face assessment, facial contouring and non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Her particular interests include facial assessment, patient psychology, consultation and communication skills, anatomical safety and complication management. She was one of the earliest injectors in the UK to incorporate facial ultrasound into aesthetic practice and has since published and lectured on arterial anatomy, ultrasound-guided assessment and its role in improving safety and supporting the management of filler complications.

Dr Zainab is a member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative (CMAC) and is a regular national and international speaker across facial aesthetics, dentistry, education and patient communication.

Alongside her clinical and educational work, she founded Evolve with Dr Zainab, a mentoring and development platform supporting clinicians beyond technical skills alone. Through Evolve, she brings together clinical education, communication, confidence, self-leadership and personal development, with a particular passion for supporting women in healthcare and aesthetics.

Her interest in wellbeing, nervous-system regulation and personal development has also led her to train as a breathwork coach, while pursuing Feminine Edge Coaching Mastery and postgraduate study in Clinical Education, Mentoring and Coaching.

With her combined background in dentistry, facial aesthetics, education and mentorship, Dr Zainab takes a multimodal approach to patient care — combining soft-tissue injectables, biostimulatory and regenerative treatments, orthodontics and minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry where appropriate.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to safe, thoughtful and natural treatment, alongside a wider desire to help both patients and clinicians feel more confident, informed and empowered.
